	Subaru EJ25 Engine Pull  Pulling the EJ25 out of my 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS with 196000 miles. I was a little behind on my maintenance and didn't change the timing belt in time. While the belt was just fine, the idler sprocket bearing pack gave out and this slacked the belt enough to damage the engine. It was cheaper to get another engine than to get the parts to rebuild the heads. By the way, in the video I say that too much oxygen leans the combustion and my brother counters that too much oxygen makes it rich. I'm right, and he's wrong. 	Subaru EJ25 piston slap or rod bearing knock  engine noise occurs just when warming up at 2000-3000 rpm, light throttle to keep constant speed and when from load to unload conditions like change gears, it disappear when let off gas or deep throttle or uphill driving.. The car is running good otherwise, I have put 16000 miles on it with the noise. 	Subaru EJ25 Motor Knock AFTER Warm-Up! 2  99 Forester S with EJ25 SOHC knocks AFTER it's warmed up? Hope it's not a bearing but if it is I'll have to let it go. If anybody else has any ideas. Also, the engine light was on, but I removed the motor to change the clutch, and when I put it back together, the engine light began flashing. I know that means engine misfire but it flashes as soon as the ignition switch is in the 3rd position even without starting the motor. Check my video of the interior starting. Another issue is the fans cycle: The first fan, then the second fan, then both fans, then off... ?!?!... I know it sounds like a ground issue but I've tried attaching ground straps and grounding in different spots, and I have a 3000 watt Alpine sub system which is grounding perfectly fine..
