Tico Tico By Rico Rico Performed On Yamaha Tyros 4 And Roland G70 Tico-Tico no Fubá is the title of a renowned Brazilian choro music piece composed by Zequinha de Abreu in 1917. Its original title was Tico-Tico no Farelo, but since Brazilian guitarist Américo Jacomino Canhoto (1889 -- 1928) had a work with the same title[1], Abreu's work was given its present name in 1931. Choro (literally translated meaning lament) is also popularly known as chorinho in the affectionate diminutive form of Brazilian Portuguese. "Fubá" is a type of maize flour, and "tico-tico" is the name of a bird, the rufous-collared sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis). Hence, "tico-tico no fubá" means "tico-tico in the cornmeal". The first recording of the work was made by Orquestra Colbaz (Columbia 22029, 1931).[2] Tico-Tico no Fubá was recorded and made popular internationally by Carmen Miranda (who performed it onscreen in Copacabana (1947)) and Ray Conniff. Another well known recording was made by first lady of the organ, Miss Ethel Smith on the Hammond organ. A biographical movie by the same title was produced in 1952 by the Brazilian film studio Companhia Cinematográfica Vera Cruz with Anselmo Duarte playing the main role. The song was also featured in the "Aquarela do Brasil" segment of the Walt Disney film Saludos Amigos (1942) and in Woody Allen's Radio Days (1987). It was also featured in the MGM film Bathing Beauty (1943). The expression also features in the lyrics to the song O Pato made famous ...

Lucky Day Sasha Performed On Yamaha Tyros 4 And Roland G70 Sascha Schmitz (born 5 January 1972), better known under his stage name Sasha, is a German singer-songwriter, musician and occasional actor. From 2003 until 2005 he performed under his alter ego Dick Brave. Schmitz is the elder of two children born to cook Fritz Schmitz, a former Bundeswehr soldier, and his wife Ramona, a nursery nurse. Raised in a Christian home alongside his younger brother Norman (born 1976), Schmitz spent his childhood in Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia, following his parents' divorce. His early musical interest grew when he started his first school band, called Bad to the Bone, which "was exactly as bad as the name suggests," he later stated.[1] Schmitz's first professional band was called Junk Food and modelled on bands such as Nirvana and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.[1] Although the band was never offered a recording contract, they played live all over their area, resulting into occasional busking sessions with his friend Benedict, with whom he also performed as the Hin und Hair Schmitz duo.[1] In 1992, Junk Food won a local talent contest which entitled them to record demo tapes at the Click Music Studios in Werl with producers Michael "Grant Michael B." Kersting and Stephan "Pomez Di Lorenzo" Baader. While the band broke up shortly thereafter, Grant and Di Lorenzo recognized his singing talents and hired Schmitz as a backing vocalist for several of their projects.[ During the following years ...
