 | YAMAHA XJR1200 ヤマハ ペケジェイアール ヤマハが出した空冷ビッグネイキッドの答え。それが「XJR1200」 初代XJR400（4HM）同様、パフォーマンスを重視して登場したのがXJR1200。「ワイルド・ダイナミック・パフォーマンス」をキーワードに、空冷ビッグネイキッドの完成型を提案したモデルだ。 エンジンはFJ1200をベースにリファインされたもので、新型のエアクリーナー、エンジン回転数とスロットル開度を検知演算するTPS（スロットルポジションセンサー）付きのミクニ製負圧BSキャブ、最適な点火タイミングを割り出すマップ制御イグナイターユニットを装備。アクセルの微妙な動きに素早く反応し、従来の空冷を超えた低中速トルクと、スタートダッシュを実現した。 ハイテンション鋼のダブルクレードルフレームに組まれる足回りは、径43mmの極太フロントフォーク、オーリンズ製リアショック、アルミ角型スイングアーム。フロントブレーキは径320mmディスク＋4ポットキャリパー、前130/70-ZR17、後170/60-ZR17のラジアルタイヤを組み合わせ、同クラスのマシンと比較してもハイレベルな内容だ。 1996 年にはマイナーチェンジし、特にフロント足回りは、インナーチューブ径はそのままに、キャスターアングルの変更、前後重量配分の最適化により、優れた直進安定性と軽快なハンドリング特性を実現。伸び／圧減衰調整機構を追加し、イニシャルアジャスターは市販車では珍しくブルーアルマイト処理が施された。オーリンズ製リアショックもフルアジャスタブルタイプとなった。他、オイルクーラーの幅を50mm大型化、快適な乗り心地と低シート高を両立できるワイラックスシートを採用するなど、各部の充実化も図られた。 こうしてXJR1200は走る、曲がる、止まるの基本性能をバランスさせながら、「空冷イズム」を推奨するヤマハのビッグネイキッドに対する ... 2008年04月22日再生回数 36713 |
