第一学院高等学校、全国に７６のキャンパスあり、毎年２５００人前後が卒業し、リタイア組はわずか数パーセント。多くは進学するが、就職者もいる、この点、全日制高校と変わらない。変わるのは、教育システム、学校教育法の範囲で、個性を尊重し長所を伸ばすために、あえて、通信制の形をとり、実際は、毎日通学もでき、塾のような雰囲気でのびのびと学べる、学年という枠もなく、３年間で必要な単位を取ればいい、という、まさに大学並のスタイルだ。これからの時代が求める、理想の高校教育システムということができそうです。

NPO高卒支援会 bit.ly H君は第一志望が都立高校だったため、併願校の説明会など行く暇が無く、まさか行くとは思わなかった。都立受験に失敗した彼は不本意ながら私立高校に入学。入学した途端"頭髪検査"に引っかかり、再三注意を受けたが髪の毛を切らなかった。先生が強引にはさみを入れ、切ったがその後の態度が悪いということで、退学になり、当会に相談に来ました。 都立の二学期補欠募集（編入試験）で合格すれば、９月から都立の全日制高校へも行けると知ると、俄然元気になりました。その後、当会関連の通信制高校で全日制に行くための単位をそろえ、 転学試験の勉強を毎日続け、見事 都立豊島高校に８月合格し、９月から転学できました。 高校中退の60％は彼のように高校一年生の不本意入学です。当会はこのような方法で高校中退問題の救済を目指しております。
