	Kagura performance, Yamatotakeru no Mikoto/Nihonbuson 日本武尊(Part 1)  Presented by 安野神楽団. Kagura is a vibrant and popular form of traditional dance in Western Japan, characteristic of Hiroshima and Shimane Prefectures. This presentation features one of my best friend's brothers as the young hero. The plot of this dance follows a Japanese hero (a prince who descended from the goddess Amaterasu) who went out conquering in the east. One time during his journey, he was in a wide grass field and couldn't see at all because of the high plants. Barbarians who were against the Emperor set fire to the field and tried to kill Yamatotakeru. In that moment, the prince opened a bag which he was given by a high priestess of Amaterasu, and found the legendary sword of Kusanagi (the sword that Susano found in the body of Orochi, in another legend.) Yamatotakeru slayed the grass field (literally, "kusanagi" means "slaying grass") fought the barbarians and survived. 2010年07月23日再生回数 706
