"Plum blossom, recall me, When it blows in the spring ---" 9th century politician and poet, Michizane Sugawara recites the famous poem, tanka, when he relegated. Some might think it is still cold yet, but that's because we are on the solar calendar now. Only Chinese and Japanese eat plum fruit; pikles, liquerur, candy. Plum pikles on rice is the most known fast food in Japan. The sour taste of plum pikles, ume-boshi, makes our mouths watered. Plum tree has rugged branches and small pretty flower on those. Cherry blossom move in wind graceful, while plum flower never sway. Lee Hom gave tapes of this play to Ashin of Mayday, who later wrote the lyrics. Lee Hom also wrote the rap lyrics which can be heard at the end of the song. He rapped 259 words in 50 seconds.
