 | ふるさと紹介～三輪 了啓 さん 永明山 長楽寺～ ～永明山 長楽寺～語り部 三輪了啓今回は、藤原町篠立で大切に守り継がれている、曹洞宗の禅寺、永明山長楽寺をご紹介致します。 篠立の参道の入り口に「くわんおんみち」と刻まれた古い石の道標があり、その道に沿って三百メートルほど登ると、そこにはいかにも禅寺と言ったたたずまいの本堂、永明山長楽寺があります。 古くから伝えられている寺伝によると、養老六年（七二二年）、時の禅宗の大家泰澄大師によって、拘留孫岳の仏の尾に観音像を安置したのが、寺の始まりと言われています。 本堂には、本尊お釈迦如来と何体かの仏像があり、その中にある御木像が、延享元年（一七四四年）に、曹洞宗永平寺末として開山された黙山和尚です。 寺宝として有名なのが、画家古庵旦水作の釈迦涅槃の画で、横一・八メートル、縦二・六メートルもあるとても大きなものです。 本堂後方の高台には、明治末期に山上から移されたという観音堂があります。当時は山上にありましたが、この地は雪も多く、不便であったため、里の近くである現在地に移されました。この観音堂には、秘仏として馬頭観世音が祀られています。二十年毎に御開帳され最近では平成十五年に、赤座閑道和尚によってその儀式が執り行われました。 みなさんも、この静かな雰囲気に包まれた長楽寺に足を運び、ゆっくりと散策されてはいかがですか。 2007年06月24日再生回数 1363 |
