 | 伊勢の伝統工芸 根付 中川忠峰 根付とは、ポケットのなかった江戸時代において、印籠・巾着・煙草入れなどの提げ物を腰の帯にさげて携帯するため紐の先に結わえて使用する滑り止めとして作られ、現代では装飾美術品の域にまで発達した日本独自の小さな細密彫刻のことです。 江戸や京都、大阪、名古屋、伊勢、奈良、丹波、飛騨、岩見といった地域において、数々の流派が形成され、材質や意匠、技法において独自の特徴を持った根付が製作されました。 形状として、輪車（環状）根付・差根付（さしねつけ）・饅頭根付・箱根付・形彫根付・柳左根付・鏡蓋根付などがあり、自由な創意、工夫、表現の多様性を持ち、江戸時代の趣向と機知が凝縮されています。 海外でも"Netsuke"という言葉は良く知られており、大英博物館やボストン美術館といった海外の有名美術館においても展示され、日本の伝統的な装飾美術品として高い評価を受けています。 中川さんは、伊勢一刀彫の刀法を生かし、根付本体に違う材料を埋め込む象嵌技法、対象物を浮かしだす浮かし彫技法、さらにお化け提灯の作品にみられる目が閉じたり開いたりするからくり細工技法など独自の忠峰流根付の世界を作り上げました。 2012年04月19日再生回数 215 |
