 | 【ふるさと郡上TV】皮を使用しない木製太鼓 郡上市の総面積の90％に当たる、92903haが森林という土地柄で、水だけでなく山の国でもあります。そんな木材の宝庫である郡上市では、建築用に製材するだけでなく間伐材などを有効利用し、広く販売事業を展開しています。そんな木工技術を生かして新しい製品造りも盛んに行われており、中でも郡上市和良にある木工所『有限会社沢木工所』（さわもっこうしよ）の職人の手作りによる木製和太鼓が注目を集めています。その形から名付けて『亀甲太鼓』（きっこう太鼓）専用の撥（ばち）で叩くと木の柔らかい音がします。打面を交換できる合理的な製造方法を取り入れ音色を選ぶことも可能。従来、動物の皮を使用する打面部分は、特殊木材を使用しており割れにくく、木ならではの軽さとそれでいて深みのある心地よい音を実現しています。 有限会社沢木工所（さわもっこうしょ） 郡上市和良町野尻1番地TEL:0575-77-2245 FAX:0575-77-2933 E-mail:sawamoku@gujo-tv.ne.jp Gujo city is surrounded by hills, and has plentifully of timber. 沢木工所(Sawa mokko-sho), a carpentry shop, developed the original drum with the timber. They are actively engaged in working of new wooden products. Ordinary drumhead of Japanese traditional drum is round shape, but this one is hexagonal patterned. And every part of their drum is made of wood. Leather is not used even for the drumhead. The craftsmen skill is really experienced. The wooden drumhead which is made with special wooden material sounds nicely like a Japanese traditional one.
