(Choujuu Kishin Dancouga) OP1 - Ai yo Far Away (Karaoke Instrumental)
Hooray for SRW! Gotta love the themes from it, because it can make what isn't around. In particular, an instrumental for Dancouga's themes (yes, themes, because I also have one up for Burning Love)!
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MECHA REQUESTS!!! I will make videos of what I feel like! -------------------- DX Chogokin Live Robo! Liveman was in many ways one of the most influential Sentai series of the 80s. It employed many innovative hooks into it's plot and designs that are now considered commonplace. The biggest has to be this very thing: Liverobo! Liverobo is the first animal based mecha to be used in Sentai. Sure Battle Fever J had Battle Shark and Denjiman has Denji Tiger...did they look even close to animals though? Liverobo is made up of three mecha: 1. Jet Falcon 2. Land Lion 3. Aqua Dolphin 1. All three combine to form Liverobo when the command is given (合体! Gattai! Live Dimension!). Liverobo comes with an assortment of accessories. The Chojuken (超獣剣) is a very nicely designed sword. Also included is the Live Shield (ライブシールド) which is actually part of Jet Falcon and the Double Cannons (ダブルカノン) which are attached to the top of Land Lion. Red missiles are included for the Double Cannons (I had to use Yellow missiles from the Twin Brace in the video) and special Red Twin Missiles are included with Aqua Dolphin (I don't have these missiles). Also included are little Bolt Cardboard Cutouts to fire Missiles at. This toy holds up very well against modern toy mecha. Not only is it very nicely designed, but incredibly well made. Liveman mecha are probably among the ...

NOTE: The toy is technically called "Liblaster" as a combination of Live+Blaster. Much like Dekaranger's Braythrottle (Brace+Throttle) the pun is lost in translation. Hence, I decided to go with Liveblaster to avoid confusion. ----------------------------------------------- Welcome to my latest review. Liveman hails from a period in time when Toei was at the top of their game. Everything was great about the 80s series. One of the big standouts had to be the props in the shows. They were simpler and somehow more functional. Here is a great example of 80s design gone right...the Liveblaster! Each character in Liveman had a Liveblaster as a sidearm (even Black Bison and Green Sai after their arrival). It provided a quick shot and doubled as a sword. The toy version has the same functionality, and includes several extra pieces. Included is a belt, holster, and Liveman pin. The Liveblaster is powered by a 9V battery. The action to change the toy from gun to sword is pretty smooth. If I had a complaint about the toy...it would have to be that while it is a great size in gun mode, the blade is pretty short. This shouldn't really come as much of a surprise, but it feels like it could've been better. Check out my Myspace blog! I haven't typed anything...as i'm thinking of moving to a new site...but here it is! www.myspace.com Besure to follow me on Twitter! I'm pretty loose with information and pictures there. I really like to hear from people: twitter.com Finally, please be sure ...

Here is the first of my Deluxe Reviews! This is also the very first toy I reviewed about five months ago...the Twin Brace from Choju Sentai Liveman!! Early on, almost every Changer that was being released was different in some significant way. The Twin Brace was different in a BIG way... First, there was not one but two piece to be worn. The awesome part about it was that both pieces actually did something [take THAT, Geki Changer!]. The left half contained the electronics which could be activated two ways. One way was by pressing the little red button. The other way would be to connect the two yellow censors on each half to make a "finger-free" sound. Sweet feature! Not even the Power Brace from Ohranger [Power Rangers Zeo Zeonizer Morpher] did that...and that came out seven years AFTER this. The right half contained a missile firing feature. When you press the small red button, a missile is fired. Might I add...it goes pretty far too. You can also store the additional chips underneath each other. Second, this toy set the bar on how Changers would be pacakged for years to come. I have to say, I like this packaging better than the previous Changers. Either the boxes were too dull [Goggle V, Dynaman], too flimsy [Bioman, Changeman], or just...off [Flashman, Maskman]. The design here is great. I'm glad they stuck with this packaging for years to come. This is truly one of the best Sentai toys EVER. I'm saying this twenty years later. The quality, the design, the coolness ...

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MECHA REQUESTS!!! I will make videos of what I feel like! -------------------- DX Super Liverobo! Super Liverobo is a milestone for Sentai Mecha. It's the first "Super" formation for Sentai Mecha. While certainly not the first five-piece combination (that honor goes to Maskman's Great Five from a year earlier) this is the first to combine two stand-alone Mecha in a super-powerful formation. Sentai mecha have not been the same since... Super Liverobo is formed by the five indivdual Liveman mecha that make up Liverobo and Liveboxer... 1. Jet Falcon 2. Land Lion 3. Aqua Dolphin 4. Bison Liner 5. Sai Fire 1. Both combine when the command is given (合体! Gattai! Super Live Dimension!). The combination is very short as Liveboxer is broken down into pieces which form the armor onto Liverobo. Super Liverobo doesn't use any weapons and uses a finishing attack called Super Big Burst (スーパービッグバースト) to destroy enemies. Super Big Burst gathers energy from the cabs of Bison Liner and Sai Fire. The beam is shot out of Land Lion's mouth. I really think that Super Liverobo is the first and best "Super" combination of mecha. It didn't steal too much away from Liverobo's design and it was also just badass to look at. The toy especially. Turboranger, Fiveman, Jetman, Zyuranger, Dairanger all failed to get the "Super ...

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MECHA REQUESTS!!! I will make videos of what I feel like! -------------------- DX Live Boxer! So at about the midpoint in the series, Green Sai and Black Bison were introduced in Liveman. That was fine in the series, but for the toy collectors out there who happened to like those two characters...you got fleeced. All the good weapons were made for the primary three members, Machine Buffalo only had room for Liverobo (OK, you could still shoved Liveboxer in there if you really wanted to) and the Twin Brace never got an official release with all five "chips" included (Bison and Sai chips were Mail-Away only). So that basically leaves the Mecha... Liveboxer kinda strays from the animal themed Mecha by using a hybrid of Animal/Vehicle (sound familiar?). What we got was two large trucks with animal cockpits... These Vehicles were... 4. Bison Liner 5. Sai Fire 4. Both combine when the command is given (合体! Gattai! Boxer Dimension!). Liveboxer doesn't come with much in the way of accessories. Included are two adjustable cannons that ride on top of Sai Fire, Red missiles (again, I had to use the yellow missiles from the Twin Brace because I lost the red ones) and cardboard cutouts of members of Volt to fire the missiles at. I've gotta say though...this toy is great for it's clever transformation. Sai Fire is incredibly easy to transform while Bison Liner is pretty complex. In the end ...
