![]() | Deep Parsing and Its Applications (Japanese audio) Google Tech Talk September 13, 2010 ABSTRACT Presented by Yusuke Miyao. Audio track language is Japanese. [Japanese captions included, with machine translation to English.] Speaker : Yusuke Miyao (宮尾祐介) Bio : www.nii.ac.jp Affiliation : National Institute of Informatics (国立情報学研究所) Title : Deep parsing and its applications (深い構文解析とその応用) Abstract : 深い構文解析とは,自然言語文を入力とし,その深い言語構造(構文構造と意味構造)を出力する構文解析技術である.文と意味構造との対応関係は複雑であり,単純なモデルでは計算が難しい.しかし,語彙化文法と呼ばれる枠組みを用いることにより,高精度かつ高速な構文解析が可能となった.本トークでは,深い構文解析のアプローチについて,浅い構文解析(係り受け解析など) や semantic parsing と対比しながら,基本的なアイディア,本質的な違いなどを概説する.また,深い構文解析の応用として,情報抽出や機械翻訳の研究を簡単に紹介する. Title: Deep parsing and its applications Abstract: Deep parsing is a natural language processing technology that computes deep linguistic structures, ie, syntactic and semantic structures, from input text. In general, simple computational models do not work sufficiently for this task, because of the complexity of mappings between text and its semantics. However, linguistic theory called lexicalized grammar allows for accurate and efficient deep parsing. In this talk, I describe fundamental ideas of deep parsing and essential differences from shallow parsing techniques such as dependency parsing ... 2010年09月23日再生回数 3829 |
![]() | Development of Large-Scale Grammars Through Corpus Construction (Japanese Audio) Google Tech Talk 14:00- JST Oct 27 2010 At Google Japan (Japanese Audio) Speaker : Yusuke Miyao (宮尾祐介) Bio : www.nii.ac.jp Affiliation : National Institute of Informatics (国立情報学研究所) Language : spoken in Japanese and slides in English Title : Development of large-scale grammars through corpus construction Abstract : A crucial bottleneck of grammar-based deep parsing is the difficulty of the development of large-scale grammars that can analyze real-world sentences. In our approach, the final goal of grammar development is the construction of a treebank (parsed corpus) that conforms to a grammar theory. Given an existing corpus (eg Penn Treebank) and a grammar theory, we can construct a treebank at low cost. Since a large-scale lexicon can be extracted automatically from the treebank, a large-scale grammar can be developed in a short period. In this talk, I overview our method of corpus-based grammar development, in comparison with manual grammar development and grammar learning.
![]() | Groucho Marx: You Bet Your Life Episode - Secret Word "Head" (1950s) thefilmarchive.org DVD: www.amazon.com In 1947, Marx was chosen to host a radio quiz program You Bet Your Life broadcast by ABC and then CBS, before moving over to NBC radio and television in 1950. Filmed before a live audience, the television show consisted of Marx interviewing the contestants and ad libbing jokes, before playing a brief quiz. The show was responsible for the phrases "Say the secret woid [word] and divide $100" (that is, each contestant would get $50); and "Who's buried in Grant's Tomb?" or "What color is the White House?" (asked when Marx felt sorry for a contestant who had not won anything). It ran for eleven years on television. Groucho was the subject of an urban legend about a supposed response to a contestant who had nine children which supposedly brought down the house. In response to Marx asking in disbelief why she had so many children, the contestant replied, "I love my husband." To this, Marx responded, "I love my cigar, too, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while." Groucho often asserted in interviews that this exchange never took place, but it remains one of the most often quoted "Groucho-isms" nonetheless. Throughout his career he introduced a number of memorable songs in films, including "Hooray for Captain Spaulding" and "Hello, I Must Be Going", in Animal Crackers, "Whatever It Is, I'm Against It", "Everyone Says I Love You" and "Lydia the Tattooed Lady". Frank Sinatra, who once quipped that the only thing he could do better than ... 2011年09月30日再生回数 24409 |
