 | The Making of CHANCE FOR LOVE - Part 1. ( deaf 35mm filmmaking ) This long overdue-released video documentary featuring the deaf film production of Robert Hoskin's award-winning 35mm deaf drama short film, 'CHANCE FOR LOVE', on the indoor setting with several film production staffs. The location is at Matsudo-Shi, Chiba-Ken, Japan, on Saturday 8th February, 1997. The film shooting under Hoskin's direction took only two days to complete thru the next day on Sunday the 9th February. The 35mm short movie cost him $30000 to make. He hired a Japanese deaf videomaker, Akirou Wakamatsu, to shoot it to the first-day 35mm film shooting involding with two real deaf actors, Noboru Matsuda and Yoshiko Iijima ( 'Alice', her stage name ). Slightly disappointed enough, Wakamatsu has voluntarily left the film set later in the afternoon and left the video documentary at 2 hours and 17 minutes long to covered it all at that day only.
