Painted in a classy blue and gold paint scheme, the engine is certainly an eye-grabber, as it races down the R&N main. We'll watch as the crew cleans the locomotive and prepares the 425 for its journey, and then, we'll take you trackside, to witness this historic event. 	Reading & Northern #425 - Railfan Special  On October 25th, 2008, 425 hauled a group of railfans along the R&N's system from Port Clinton to as far as White Haven, stopping for photo runbys along the way. The weather was wet, cold, and miserable, but it made for many interesting scenes of steam working hard in the rain. Also note the whistle #425 is wearing in this video - the Boston and Maine 6-chime steptop. This is the whistle #425wore during the Grand Opening at Steamtown in 1995. 	Reading and Northern 425 - Port Clinton to Jim Thorpe  www.steamtrainvideos.com Sounding like a locomotive twice her size (and with assistance from a lone SD50), Reading and Northern 4-6-2 425 pulls a 14-car excursion from Port Clinton to Jim Thorpe PA. As always, 425 is working hard with incredibly LOUD stack talk. The engine crew was fighting a constant battle to keep the power to the rails as R&N 425 slips numerous times (quite violently towards the end of the video) on the climb from Port Clinton to the ex-CNJ part of the line at Haucks. 	home-made 425 Oldsmobile powered death trap  Don't laugh to hard at this. My buddy's dad build himself a rail job (death trap) race car, powered by a Oldsmobile 425 big block. Once again I don't have all the info but it does have an Edelbrock intake and a Holley carb. The exhaust is running out open manifolds. Also has airbag suspension in the back and some fat Mickey T's. Check out the HUGE steering wheel, it's bigger than the actual wheels. Gets crazy going down the road. Thankfully he never actually took it to the track. It became doner parts for other projects.
