 | Shiny Torchic in Ruby! First shiny of 2010! LIVE encounter! THIS IS SO AWESOME!! Back when I got Ruby and Sapphire in like 2003 (or 2004 I think?) my first random shiny ever was a shiny Gulpin. I couldn't catch it because I ran out of Pokeballs and Great Balls, and I never saw a shiny in my Ruby or Sapphire since. Until now. Yesterday, ShinyStormDragoon got her shiny Torchic on her ID 47444 in a low amount of time so it got me thinking, "how 'lucky' can ID's with almost all of one number be?! I have to try this out for myself!' I had never gotten an ID with all 4's or close to it and shiny hunters who have (Abenzio499, shinycollector7 to name a couple) got their shinies to appear quickly as well. So after watching ShinyStormDragoons shiny Torchic video I set off to find my own special ID and after a few minutes, got the ID 48444. Excited, I started to film all the Soft Resets. (because RemysVehicle was doing it, so c'mon xD) After about 450 I got really discouraged, which is really sad because that's not even a high number. I then watched other shiny Torchic videos on Youtube, but SecretMisfortunes shiny Torchic video caught my eye. In his description he said that if you don't get a shiny after about 500 SRs you should change the file. After 502 SRs I changed my file to 46444 and continued to film. I was thinking about changing my ID after 1500 SRs if Torchic still didn't shine because I had a feeling that it would take me a while to get another ID like my previous ones.
