While with him, she receives a call that her son has died. Wreckless driving rushing to her house results in a horrible accident. The lover dies and she is sent to a mental institution to recover from the psychological trauma. Upon her release a year later she moves into the boarding house where they would rendezvous. The landlord has passed away and her blind son is left to maintain the house. With every day that passes, his lust for her grows while she remains true to her lover. Alla sceneggiatura, oltre che alla produzione, hanno partecipato i fratelli Pupi e Antonio Avati. Una signora di mezza età, Jane Baker, nasconde ai figli l'esistenza del suo amante. Mentre è in casa di lui, la figlia, scoperta la relazione della donna, annega il fratellino in una vasca da bagno, e poi chiama la mamma dicendo che è accaduta una disgrazia. Essa si precipita a casa con l'amante ma i due hanno un incidente, in seguito al quale quest'ultimo viene decapitato. 	Vier Hochzeiten und ein Todesfall (HQ-Trailer-1993)  Über einen Zeitraum von knapp zwei Jahren folgt der Film den Erlebnissen des Londoners Charles (Hugh Grant) auf und rund um vier Hochzeiten und eine Beerdigung. Er selbst ist zwar in den Dreißigern und damit im besten Heiratsalter, doch er bekommt bei dem Gedanken ans Heiraten immer kalte Füße. Dafür hat er eine Reihe von Freunden, die mit ihm leiden oder ihm zu helfen suchen: der leicht trottelige, aber überaus reiche Tom (James Fleet) und seine stets in Düsternis gehüllte Schwester Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas); das schwule Pärchen Gareth (Simon Callow) und Matthew (John Hannah), seine bei ihm lebende Schwester Scarlett (Charlotte Coleman) oder sein taubstummer Bruder David (David Bower). Sie alle suchen irgendwie den Mann oder die Frau zum Leben. Eines Tages lernt Charles auf der ersten Hochzeit die Amerikanerin Carrie (Andie McDowell) kennen, mit der er eine Nacht verbringt. Am Morgen trennen sie sich wieder, doch zum ersten Mal kommen Charles Zweifel, denn er fühlt sich von Carrie angezogen, ohne die üblichen Ängste zu spüren.
