Main components of a Toroidal CVT: 1. Driving disc 2. Driven disc 3. Rollers Driving disc: as shown in the figure the driving disc gets its drive from the engine. Working of a Toroidal CVT: The driving disc gets its drive from the engine and is transferred to the driven disc through the rollers in both the sides as shown in the figure. Working of pulley based CVT: As explained in the video the pulley based CVT is capable of changing the gear ratios with out use of gears.
