	EBI Roadshow at DBCLS - Transcriptomics and Pathways  The purpose of the roadshow is to train experimental biologists how to make the most of some of Europe's most widely used public biological databases, such as Ensembl, ArrayExpress, BioMart, Expression Atlas and Reactome. The roadshow combines presentations and hands-on practical sessions. Trainees are guided through the selected databases and tools by expert trainers from the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI), the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SBI), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the BRENDA project. 	Introduction to the NBDC/DBCLS BioHackathon 2011  NBDC / DBCLS BioHackathon 2011 was held in Kyoto, Japan. Main focus of the BioHackathon is to develop technologies for handling Linked Data in life science. The participants discussed, explored and developed SPARQL endpoints, semantic web services, triple stores, ontologies, natural language processing, visualization and Open Bio* tools to utilize RDF data. On the first day of the BioHackathon, public symposium of the BioHackathon 2011 was held at Campus Plaza Kyoto on Aug 21. 	DBCLS Galaxyの利用法  本家はこちら togotv.dbcls.jp 本日の統合TVは、2010年6月23, 24日にライフサイエンス統合データベースセンター（DBCLS）にて開催されたAJACS & 第22回DDBJing 講習会 in 東京より、DBCLS 山口 敦子 特任准教授による「DBCLS Galaxyの利用法」をお送りします。 ゲノムなどの大規模データを対象とした、解析ツールの組み合わせインタフェイス Galaxy の紹介です。Galaxy はプログラミングの知識を必要とせずに、ウェブ上でゲノムなどの大規模データを読み込み、各種解析ツールを使って解析を実行することができます。また、実行した解析手順を保存してワークフローの作成などもでき、実行結果やワークフローは共同研究者と共有することが可能となっています。今回紹介するDBCLS Galaxy は、ペンシルバニア州立大学が中心となって開発している Galaxy をベースとし、日本の生物学研究者を対象として独自のツールや機能を組み込んでいます。後半の実習部分でサーバー不調により一部お見苦しい点がございますがご了承ください。 2010年12月16日再生回数 108
