	Paromitar Ek Din  Promita (Rituparna Sengupta) and Shanokyo (Aparna Sen) are mother and daughter-in-law in relationship but share amazing friendship. Both being alone and friendless find solace in each other, But condition turns grim when Paromita and her husband Biru Sanyal develop differences after their son turn out to be a handicap. It's not long before Paromita and Biru go separate ways. This puts a dent in Paromita and Shanokyo's relationship. A few years later, Paromita remarries and begins a new life. But Shanyoko's condition deteriorates. She falls terribly sick. More so because while she is still lonely, Paromita has moved on and is not alone anymore.
