 | Wudang Master Of Dragongate Kungfu 武当龙门派传人 This video shows Master Wang Xing Qing, 25th generation inheritor of the dragongate lineage of wudang, as well as the 23rd generation of pure yang lineage and the 13th generation of songxi lineage. He is the headmaster of the Wudang Dragongate Kungfu School at mount wudang. Master Wang is one of the very few masters who were actually born in Wudang. Many masters of the old generation have teached him along his way and formed a master representing true wudang martial arts. He is a kind both traditional and cosmopolitan master, who impresses through his inner calmness and patience during the training. A new gang of marauders had taken over: innkeepers by day, and treasure hunters by night. The inn is the rumored location of a lost city buried under the desert, and its hidden treasure would only be revealed by a gigantic storm every sixty years. The gang used the inn as a front to locate the lost treasure. The storm is arriving. But the situation becomes more complicated when a pregnant concubine who escaped from the palace came to the inn. The concubine was saved by a mysterious woman WEN, and the two fled to the Dragon Inn in hiding. Hot on their trail were the Imperial Assassins led by the powerful eunuch YU, followed by the righteous general ZHAO who was determined to take down Yu to restore order in the palace. As the gigantic storm loomed in the horizon, ready to wipe out everything in sight, the cat-and-mouse game inside Dragon Inn grew fiercer. Everyone was trapped, and there's nowhere to go.  | Baguazhang Jiulong: Applications and Training: Dragon's Gate Stepping Pattern Dr. Yancy Orchard demonstrates basic Jiulong Baguazhang principles with the Rolling the Pearl posture on location in Dr. John Painter's Gompa and in Saskatoon, SK, near the Xin Fu Gompa. Each of the elements presented in this brief clip demonstrates the versatility of this seemingly simple method. Walk in a circle, cut through the centre with a simple posture change. Apply that posture change to stationary poles, moving poles, props with obstacles, and live partners. Plese take the time to notice the variations presented are the same simple movement, sometimes using the lead arm, sometimes the rear arm, sometimes stepping to the outside of the foe, sometimes to the inside, sometimes lifting up, cutting down, pressing forward, and so forth. The purpoe of the clip is to help current students develop freedom and versatility in their concept of the movement. There are no techniques, per se, demonstrated here. Everything demonstrated grew organically, spontaneously from one movement to another. Master the basics and infinite expression freely manifests. Ball and Wedge On the most basic level the shape of the arms is that of a triangle (or wedge) piercing forward while supported internally with the fullness of an inflated rubber ball. In Jiulong Baguazhang, we use the shape of the wedge to neutralize attacks.
