	Airsoft GI - GITV Exclusive Interview with Echo 1 Part 2/2  Since some people are still having trouble understanding what Hendrix said about the rebrand issue I'll sum it up for you. YES! The Chinese manufacturers already existed and were producing guns, they just didn't have a brand name. They were sold as brown box guns with no name, they were poorly constructed and therefore would frequently break. They didn't have any customer support because they were just factories. Echo 1 came around and visited some of the manufacturers and told them what they were doing wrong and what they needed to do make reliable guns. In exchange they got to import their designs as Echo 1 guns into the US. Echo 1 was the FIRST company to make reliable Chinese guns. Once these factories began to realize that the Echo 1 design was working they began to send the Echo 1 designed guns to the US for sale under a randomly selected brand name.
