REINHOLD SVENSSONS KVARTETT: I'M GETTING SENTIMENTAL OVER YOU  Blind pianist Reinhold Svensson (1919-68) made this recording together with his quartet that consisted at the time of the recording (May 24, 1949) of Svensson of course on piano, Putte Wickman (1924-2006) on clarinet, Roland Bengtsson (1916-2005) on bass and Georg Oddner (1923-2007) on drums. This record was part of an album of which this is the second record of two, and as you can tell in the video it was issued by record company Sonora with a picture sleeve, which was fairly rare back then. Their rendition of the jazz tune "I'm getting sentimental over you" is both sensitive and delicate. The song is probably more known as a song that was a big hit for Tommy Dorsey's orchestra and some may also remember Frank Sinatra's vocal version, but I find this version just as pleasing to the ear. 2010年09月10日再生回数 705
