 | IEEE-488 Interface Experimentation Please forgive the poor cinematography, it's difficult to film and type at the same time. After getting my hands on a couple of Commodore PET computers lacking both disk drives and cassette drives, I realized I didn't have a convenient way to store or load programs. So I took this to be my grand opportunity to experiment. The PET uses the IEEE-488 bus for disk and printer storage, so I've set out to create an IEEE-488 device that uses SD/MMC cards for disk storage. It's been a fun learning experience. Tonight, I got to try out my prototype on the real PET for the first time. I was shocked (and a little bit scared) to find that my bus handshaking coded worked the first time.
