DISK: when recorded this video was DNES IBM (7200rpm) now seagate cheetah 73G 10K rpm. now the indy boot faster than showed. AUDIO: on/board + video in/out Mouse/Kbd: standard PS2 TheCam: (on top of the monitor) is a cult well known IndyCam with digital signal directly attached to the system via special connector. OS: Irix 6.5.22m it can run debian mips linux, but never tryed it/ using Irix is half fun of the story,performance. MON: well it was my first Flat trinitron sony tube ibm p76, and i hated to throw it away :( ------------------------ for what i use it ::: web serving of simple web pages and some real projects demonstration tasks... still in real production environment!!! because of energy low costs, silent work and flexible configurations... don`t forget - it`s ROCK SOLID UNIX in small size ZUPACOOL box, want more ?! ... ------------------------ expected prices on eBay: from $5-$100+ depending on model/installed features. ------------------------- bad thing: this machine has the MAC address stored in non volatile ram (dallas chip) that has the working life about 10 years. without the MAC the Indy system will not boot.  | Maya 5.0 Irix booting on Indy R5K - Irix 6.5.22 This is simple video showing my Silicon Graphics Indy R5K, 256 mb, XL24 starting up Maya 5.0 Irix version. The video is crapy for now but i hope i make one better later... why i made it ? dunno, was boring, lol, Maya is a known 3D monster that requires much comp. power of the machine that run`s it ,,, its interesting how the small boy like Indy handled it ,,, don`t forget this is 94`-95` machine so 14 years old now, this is not spectacular, this is awesome!!! When i recorded this video i had old quantum 4G scsi drive filled to the last byte. Now this Indy has a nice 73G 10K seagate cheetah inside, and it just flyes with it.
