	Va. Guard Engineers support Stafford Civil War project  Approximately 75 engineers from the Powhatan-based 180th Horizontal Construction Company along with the Cedar Bluff-based 1033rd Engineer Support Company and a section from the Bowling Green-based 189th Multirole Bridge Company are scheduled to prepare road stretching 4000 feet. The Petersburg-based Forward Support Company of the 276th Engineer Battalion will provide all logistical support for the units on site, keeping them fed and fueled. The planned Stafford Civil War Park includes three large Union battery fortifications, winter quarters encampment remains, a corduroy road and a pre-Civil War sandstone bridge ruin on property recently preserved by Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg at the request of the Friends of the Stafford Civil War Sites. Future phases of this project will be to take the road to final grade in order to prepare the road for paving, and engineers from the 276th are scheduled to continue that work during their annual training period in 2012. This road will have multiple parking lots allowing visitors to get out and walk the historic grounds in Stafford County, allowing for greater awareness of this site while still preserving the original forts and encampment. The Soldiers are conducting the work as part of their two-week annual training period as part of the Innovative Readiness Training program. 	You've gotta fight just to make it through ♥  2009. It's been a pretty short year [at least, I feel like its been short]. SOO much has happened this year - it's a little crazy. For starters, at the beginning of the year - I was horseless. And my instructor said she had found a free lease for me. I didn't get a picture. I didn't get information about how she goes. I didn't even know she was a paint until on Feb. 7th 2009 I saw her in our dirt paddock in the middle of the property. I was to keep her on trial for a month, and if I didn't like her send her back. We didn't get along all that great, but I still really liked her. And after all, she was a horse. Over the next few months Lilly and I began to work together as a team. I started to trust her. And i like to think she trusted me too. However in the middle of May, we got a call from her owner saying her truck got repossesed and she had to sell Lilly. She offered her to us for 5000 dollars. Which was more then she was worth. I was getting too big for her anyways. So we told her that we didn't want to buy her. Lilly's owner said she was going to take her away as soon as she found a person to buy or lease her. But my instructor told her we needed a 30 day notice before she did that. Her threat's to take the pony away died down. However, we were tired of working with this terrible woman and decided to start looking for a horse to buy.
