Things like you said at the beginning of this video -on a radio show in Argentina mid 90's-are a lot of what keeps me going now. You are keeping a lot of people going , ya know? And I'm doing the best I can for you on this end. I stayed up the past two entire nights figuring out this program to make this video as best I could. It's dedicated you... and me. Yeah, I'm still the "wing-nut" and you're still the "looney tune." It was so worth the effort. . The love lives. and we can sing together... forever. I guess I can say a lot. (Sorry to any Ramone fans, some of who may write "Joey is God" on here- but this video is a family thing for me, as well. and for all of our family out there and some on here He was the skinny kid I grew up, shared a room, sometimes a bed with, and who I'd stand up to bullies for to try and protect him. I'm obviously more than willing to share these family photos with you. I welcome you to the family.. ONE OF US! if you like. But I guarantee you- we ain't GOD. Just people like you. (Wouldn't you rather have him like that?)  | Joey Ramone & Mickey Leigh 4trk demo-Merry Christmas (Don't Wanna Fight Tonight) (This video will only be up until Jan.1st. Hope you enjoyed it. Maybe I'll make another one next year.) I'd go over to my brother's apt pretty frequently to help him put his songs on tape. This was in the mid 80's when those 4track cassette recorders had come down in price. On this day I only had my guitar, the cheapest Roland drum machine they made, the cheapest SHURE microphone made- given to me by Lester Bangs, and my Fostex 4 track. So, after we put down the fast version Joey said "Let's try another one, but play some of those jazzy chords you know, ya know?" He wrote this song for his girlfriend Angela, and he wanted to do a more romantic version for her than what we'd made for him to give to the Ramones.
