	JASC55 - OMNIBUS  The Japan-America Student conference (www.iscdc.org is the longest running student run conference in the world. Every year 80 students gather from Japan & America and travel to 4 cities for 1 month in either country, endeavoring to solve 8 top global problems. (See my other JASC video for more information.) This music video is a video I made about the works of the 55th JASC, and includes appearances by Abe Shinzo, who would later become the Prime Minister of Japan, and Japanese Royal Princess Takamado no Hidenka. The 55th JASCers travelled to Tokyo, Kyoto, Okinawa, & Fukui, and this video was played on a giant movie theater sized screen in an outside mall in Kyoto that year. The final section of the video is black to allow for the speeches that were given by the students that day about the research they had accomplished. It is developed and maintained by NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information). It has become very difficult to grasp the outline of data accepted by GEO, since GEO accepts a variety of gene expression data, (the accepted data are categorized into three types:Datasets derived from research projects, Samples used and Platform to produce the data) that has been generated using different experimental methods. To ease this situation, Dr. Okubo and colleagues at the National Institute of Genetics (Japan) have developed the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) Overview. It is now maintained by the Database Center for Life Science (DBCLS). This tutorial describes how to use the "Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) Overview" .
