	Booting OpenBSD 5.0 on my old 586.  Just a little proof of concept to show that it's possible to boot OpenBSD 5.0 on an old computer with the following specs: * Intel Pentium (P54C) 150Mhz * 16Mb of EDO RAM * 20Gb Hard Drive You can have a look at the dmesg at the following link: 82.227.183.10 In case if anyone is wondering why am I doing this, it's simply because it's the very first computer I had as a child. It's cool to see that such an old piece of hardware (1996) can still run the latest softwares :) Just don't be too demanding. Don't even think about starting X. The boot is, of course, slow as the operating system is starting a lot of unnecessary deamons (I do not have any network cards so things like SSH are useless). 	Creating an OpenBSD seedbox  Almost every seedbox user seems to be using Linux; why, I don't really know. I have a list of annoyances with Linux as long as my arm, OpenBSD not so much. You can easily create a very lightweight seedbox with SFTP and BitTorrent capability with just 5 minutes of your time (excluding the time that it takes to download sets, etc). rtorrent is generally my client of choice, despite it being written in C++ (at least, it seems to perform a lot better under heavy load than transmission-cli and others in my experience). dtach could be substituted with tmux or GNU Screen if you are so inclined; I generally prefer it because it does what I want and nothing more. 	[OpenBSD] OpenBSD 5.0 on a Power Macintosh G4 ("Yikes")  This is going to be a firewall/gateway for my network at home. I used the macppc/install50.iso from the OpenBSD site, and it installed without problems. Setting up the GUI can be a problem, but since this machine is going to run "headless" I don't need to worry about that. openSSH ftw. After the install I used the commands "setenv auto-boot? true" , "setenv boot hd:,ofwboot" and "reset-all" in the machine's openfirmware so it will automatically will boot into the OS. Processor: G4 @ 466Mhz - Memory: 1Gb - Harddisk: 120Gb Maxtor. I added a 10/100/1000 card, so now it has two NIC's. Nice! www.openbsd.org 2012年02月08日再生回数 470

	OpenBSD host + Windows 8 guest + W500 Laptop  Important: THERE IS NO CRASH, actually that is the idea of this video, everything works. OpenBSD 4.9 amd64 host, qemu Windows 8 Dev Preview guest. Playing a youtube video using firefox and the FlashVideoReplacer plugin. Gnome 2.32 with composite enabled using inteldrm driver. At the end, I suspend and resume quickly. Wifi resumed instantly. Laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad W500+Vertex 3 SSD No weird configuration was needed. All is stock install from binary packages.
