Ravished Armenia es una película muda que expuso los horrores del Genocidio Armenio -perpetrado entre los años 1915 y 1923- en momentos que dicho crimen de lesa humanidad sufrido por el pueblo armenio estaba en pleno desarrollo. Este fue el primer documental filmado sobre el Genocidio Armenio, fue dirigido por Oscar Apfel, y se estrenó el 16 de febrero de 1919 en el Hotel Plaza de Nueva York. Considerada una película de "época", el film se basa en los relatos de una sobreviviente: Arshaluis (Aurora) Mardiganian, que también es una de las protagonistas del film.
