 | SVHS test footage - DXC 325
You may think SVHS tape is no good, right? Check out this footage I made with pure SVHS footage. Made on an old broadcast camera, a Sony DXC 325 with a Panasonic SVHS AG7450AP rear VTR. FACT - Did you know SVHS is different to VHS. SVHS has a more higher resolution than VHS. VHS = 250 lines where SVHS = 420 lines (analog broadcasts are 330 lines) The intention of this video was only to test the camera. So I am aware there are a lot of things I could have done better while making the video with the camera. I have been having dramas in finding the best way to input to my computer and have finally found the best method so far. Only changes made are as follows - Project settings in Sony Vegas * set to Progressive scan * HD resolution * Converted 16:9 (Non stretch) - Video Stabilization ran in imovie 09 No color correcting or filters ran.

As ademonstration video for my blog, I created this video which demonstrates the misc. functions of the tape loading mechanism of a S-VHS video tape recorder, model JVC HR-S9500. It shows different drive functions like tape loading, playback, fast forward/rewind, stop, eject, ... as well as the tilting Dynamic Drum Head-Drum, always explained by a short German introduction.

 | Demonstration of Panasonic AG-4700BY S-VHS Video Cassette Recorder
The first three minutes are of an off-air broadcast being recorded on the machine. The rest of the clip features the same video, but coming off tape. I demonstrate rewind, fast forward, pause and search, as well as some of the 'trick play' modes of the machine (forward and reverse play with audio search turned on). The broadcast was fed via Scart (RGB) to the recorder and S-Video + Stereo audio to the TV. I used a Fujifilm S-VHS cassette. The TV is a 46" LCD and as you can see the VCR does an excellent job of rendering the picture, despite being 15 years old.

手持ちのVHS・S-VHSビデオデッキのCMを纏めてみました。意外な事にシャープが大量にCMを打っていたんですね。ブラザーのビデオデッキてのも珍しいかも。ハンディタイプのムービーは収録していません（肩掛けタイプは収録）大体100本位38分の長尺ですが、興味有る方はお付き合い下さい。
