Ltd./Zoom (1992) emu OOTAKE  Un pequeño vistazo al curioso port para el sistema Super CD-Rom² de la Pc Engine, el cual, el amigo PepAlacant y un servidor os hemos saturado bastante, pero cuyo capítulo en el sistema de Nec tocaba repasar. La conversión de Brain Grey dista bastante del camino marcado por ZOOM en el potente Sharp x68000, seguido muy de cerca por la conversión para los FM-TOWNS también del mismo grupo Nipón, aquí misteriosamente se les ha recortado muchos cuadros de animación a los enemigos, resultando un juego brusco , que va "a trompicones" en determinadas animaciones y en otros casos mantiene una fluidez mucho mejor, los planos de scroll parallax se reducen y se cambian misteriosamente muchos fondos por otros menos coloristas , en los BRIEFINGS que desaparecieron en FMTOWNS se nos indica los pasos a cumplir en la misión, pero AQUÍ carecen de un audio cd narrándolo y la base sonora respeta la versión del sharp, sin mejora alguna. En estos sistemas se optó por el procesador MIDI interno con opción a mejorar con creces el audio adquiriendo accesoriamente un ROLAND MT-32 aparte ( fm towns) o algún otro sintetizador profesional. Otro desbarajuste es la dificultad que hace gala el juego, en la que se nos brindan continues, pero desgraciadamente el PATRÓN de ataque del enemigo nos desconcierta, desanimándonos a hacer alguna estratégia y centrándonos en aporrear los botones rápidamente antes de perecer. 	Advanced VG [アドヴァンスト ヴァリアブル・ジオ] Game Sample -- PC Engine CD  Original Air Date: November 11th, 2009 Advanced VG [アドヴァンスト ヴァリアブル・ジオ] for the Japanese Turbo CD (PC Engine CD, aka Super CD-Rom²) is the second game in the all-girl (or primarily all-girl) fighting series, predated only by the PC-98 original I believe. It's an average fighting game gameplay-wise with an above average soundtrack and "average to slightly below average" visuals (though the cutscenes are very nice). While it isn't the first game in the series, it is the first game in the series that should be taken seriously and had more than just sex appeal. This game included new characters, an actual story, lots of spoken bits and actual people you would call boss characters. Advanced VG was one of the first successful all-female fighting series with cute characters and a competent fighting engine, so it's strange to think that the series has practically died out these days. This game was majorly revamped in the graphics and sound departments for Playstation and Sega Saturn, though the Saturn game is the only one of the two to retain the "Graphic Mode" setting, which lets you view some hentai-esque scenes. This is one of the first Super CD-Rom² games I ever acquired... come to think of it, it's the first VG game I ever acquired. The Story Mode has a lot of nice pics and talking.
