![]() | Configuring Secure Shell (SSH) On Cisco Devices Lab - Part 1 Configuring Secure Shell (SSH) On Cisco Devices Lab - Part 1 of 4 Secure Shell (SSH) offers more security than Telnet in that SSH encrypts all communications while Telnet sends all communication in plaintext. Cisco recommends that you use SSH instead of Telnet for accessing your Cisco devices. Configuration of SSH is pretty straight forward but requires a newer IOS version (that supports DES and/or 3DES). It's also important to realize that SSH uses a username/password combination so you will not be able to use the VTY line password. You'll need to either configure a local username database, or use a technology like TACACS+. Depending on your IOS version, your device may support SSH-1 or both SSH-1 and SSH-2. If your device supports both versions then you can specify which version your device will support. By default, it will allow SSH clients to use all versions that it supports. 2010年06月02日再生回数 4317 |

![]() | RT 20 - Secure Shell (ssh), crontab, and emacs tramp Using ssh and scp with ssh-keygen to log into remote computers over an encrypted connection without needing a password. We then use "cron" to setup a periodic task to ssh into a remote computer and track the disk usage. Finally, I cover how to use emacs "tramp" to edit files on remote computers via an ssh connection so that you can interact with the text editor locally and only have to deal with the delays of the network when opening or saving files. 2011年12月27日再生回数 675 |
![]() | Configuring Secure Shell (SSH) On Cisco Devices with SDM - Part 1 Configuring Secure Shell (SSH) On Cisco Devices with SDM - Part 1 of 3 Secure Shell (SSH) offers more security than Telnet in that SSH encrypts all communications while Telnet sends all communication in plaintext. Enabling SSH with Cisco SDM is easy enough, but you will need to know the basics of configuring SSH on the CLI as there is no true 'one button' solution for implementing SSH via the SDM. You may need to complete the configuration in multiple steps depending on your existing router configuration and your desired SSH implementation. While SDM will allow you to implement basic SSH functionality, you lose the ability to set optional SSH characteristics (most importantly the SSH version) when using the SDM exclusively. 2010年06月17日再生回数 1958 |
