Junctionless transistorJunctionless transistor
Junctionless transistor In 1925 an Austro-Hungarian physicist Julius Edgar Lilienfeld obtained a patent for a semiconductor amplifier that later was called a field transistor. In its principle of operation it involved a resistor covered with thin semiconductor film. When voltage was applied on a film a resistor changed conductivity that resulted in amplifying electric oscillations. But he failed to create such a transistor because of lack of a necessary material for making a working transistor. From physical standpoint Jean-Pierre Colinge and his colleagues managed to create such a transistor without any junctions. Their transistor included silicon n-nanowires (conducting channel) surrounded with extremely thin layer of silicon oxide with a "cramp" from a p-semiconductor that is a latch over it. A latch alone is enough for reducing free electrons in a channel under it. If there is voltage between source and drain regions electrons won't flow through a channel because of a latch. Such transistors allows both to make logical gates smaller and improve their characteristics, for example, to significantly decrease leakage current that influences favorably on circuit power consumption. According to inventers such a junctionless device is close to ideal electrical properties and behaves as the most perfect transistor.

A direct message to president barack obamaA direct message to president barack obama
Thank you for your visit to Allentown in which you use in speeches so well over economy. I watch a steel plant close down one in which built the twin towers and golden gate- i watch western electric change then die off- the first transistor company on earth! i personally own a Pontiac firebird since 1982 and now witness the closing of Pontiac itself- the same year our employment numbers and economy fall towards- you speak of audacity of Hope- i will tell you WHY it doesn't work anymore in America or western world- the followers of god in past decades realized they are surrounded by atheists who dont play the honorable game, but instead dog eat dog fr their own selfish ways of advancement- and thus- the house collapse and greed in money in everything is present- no Christmas spirit this year as even our own president doesn't see the power of jesus or any other deity description for mans life on earth- and thus the sheep follow into secularism and make it worse- i am a messenger of god- i have solved the energy crisis with no greenhouse gases- 33 months with full time effort on this net and it goes nowhere as atheists are strong-= theists are weak- and man is only the best friend to his dog today- how global nuclear war will change us all- do we need it- i would pressure your science team to investigate soon- thank you bless you in jesus name

ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) Flyback Driver - SimulationZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) Flyback Driver - Simulation
Schematic for a Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) Flyback Driver. Simulation shows how it works. Initial pulse is driven into primary, and once the tank capacitor is charged, the LC (Inductor-Capacitor) oscillation starts. When the voltage between the Drain and Source of each MOSFET reaches 0 volts, the MOSFET switches on to reenergize the LC and keep the oscillaton going. Each MOSFET alternates the driving duties, one for each half of the sinewave. With this driver (provided it is properly built and receives adaquit input power) you can get very high current output from just about any Flyback (or other ferrite transformers) you can find (See my other videos for a ZVS powered Arcs). The two 470 ohm resistors MUST be 2 Watts or better, the 10k resistors can be 1/4 watt, nothing special. The two Zener Diodes must be 12 to 18 volts, not higher or they will over drive the MOSFET Gates! Also the diode current rating isn't important here. The two normal Diodes MUST be High Speed (120ns recovery time or less) and High Voltage (600v or better), BYV26E's are great for this and current here also isn't important. If you are using more than 48 volts for input power, you will need to increase the resistance of the 470 ohm AND the 10k ohm resistors otherwise you will burn out your zeners and possibly your MOSFETs! The two Power MOSFETs must be heatsinked even for short use, and the VDS (Voltage Drain Source) must be no less than 60 volts, or 3 x the input voltage (200 volts or more highly ...

Understanding and Evaluating TechnologyUnderstanding and Evaluating Technology
Google Tech Talks November 15, 2006 ABSTRACT What is it about technology that does not change? What persistent patterns can we learn—can society at large learn—in order to understand and evaluate the technologies underlying our important personal, political, social, and economic decisions? The author of "Technology Challenged" and director of nonprofit corporation KnowledgeContext, Miguel F. Aznar, will share stories about Hawaiian bobtail squid, North Korean radios, and nanotechnology to illustrate a strategy for understanding and evaluating any technology. This strategy is the seed for a technological literacy curriculum that KnowledgeContext has been offering in a grassroots attempt to...

12. Thomas Pynchon, The Crying of Lot 4912. Thomas Pynchon, The Crying of Lot 49
The American Novel Since 1945 (ENGL 291) Professor Hungerford introduces this lecture by reviewing the ways that authors on the syllabus up to this point have dealt with the relationship between language and life, that collection of elusive or obvious things that for literary critics fall under the category of "the Real." The Real can shout out from a work of art, as it sometimes does in Black Boy, or haunt it, as in Lolita. It can elude authors like Kerouac and Barth for widely different reasons. Placing Pynchon firmly in the context of the political upheaval of the 1960s that he is often seen to avoid, Hungerford argues that Pynchon--no less than a writer of faith like Flannery O'Connor--is deeply invested in questions of meaning and emotional response, so that The Crying of Lot 49 is a sincere call for connection, and a lament for loss, as much as it is an ironic, playful puzzle. 00:00 - Chapter 1. MashaalMashaal
MASHAAL is a story about Vinod (Dilip Kumar) an honest fearless and crusading editor of an outspoken newspaper, who has vowed to eradicate the evils of illicit liquor, bootlegging and organized crime from his city. It is story of Raja (Anil Kapoor - Slumdog Millionaire & 24), a young man from the slums who inevitably takes to bootlegging and black marketing to make his living. Mashaal also tells the story of Vardhan (Amrish Puri - Indiana Jones & Temple of Doom) who is a powerful wealthy and respected figure of the city whose cloak of respectability hid all the social evils and crimes which flourished beneath. How a chain of events change the lives of Raja, from a black marketer in to a young crusading journalist under the guidance of his now Godfather Vinod. How Vinod's life changes from an honest newspaper editor to becoming an underworld Don and a Racketeer, in order to combat the person responsible for his destruction - Vardhan. Raja and Vinod are now on opposite side and despite every effort on Raja's part, Vinod cannot go back to his old life - He has reached a point of no retreat... But Vinod has passed on the Torch to Gen Next and Raja must continue the crusade.

Carl Sagan's: Cosmos Part 4 - Heaven and HellCarl Sagan's: Cosmos Part 4 - Heaven and Hell
Sagan discusses comets and asteroids as planetary impactors, giving recent examples of the Tunguska event and a lunar impact described by Canterbury monks in 1178. It moves to a description of the environment of Venus, from the previous fantastic theories of people such as Immanuel Velikovsky to the information gained by the Venera landers and its implications for Earth's greenhouse effect. The Cosmos Update highlights the connection to global warming.
