 | Using UDP to send message data from MaxMSP to VVVV This is just a quick tutorial about how to send the good ol' "Hello World" message from MaxMSP to a program called VVVV. MaxMSP is an audio programming tool - www.cycling74.com VVVV is a video programming tool - www.vvvv.org This tutorial uses UDP (User Datagram Protocol) which sends data using an address and port (in this case localhost and 4444). VVVV also can use TCP to send and recieve data (unfortunately Max 5 doesn't send data like this) which would just mean that VVVV would wait for a response from another program to say that it recieved the data before sending more.
