	Mateo Valero receives 2009 Harry H. Goode Memorial Award  The IEEE Computer Society presented its 2009 Harry H. Goode Award to Mateo Valero in recognition of seminal contributions to vector, out-of-order, multithreaded, and VLIW processor architectures. The Harry H. Goode Award honors achievements in the information processing field. Dr. Walid Najjar accepted the award on Dr. Valero's behalf at the Computer Society's 25 May 2011 awards ceremony in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mateo Valero is a professor in the Computer Architecture Department at UPC in Barcelona. His research interests focuses on high performance architectures. His broad research has influenced the development of vector microprocessors for the Cray's Z1, NEC SX, Compaq Terantula and the Intel Larrabee processor. His most recent contribution was an innovative approach to out-of-order, Kilo-instruction processors. Dr. Valero's outstanding research group at UPC-Barcelona is credited with bringing greater visibility to computer architecture in Europe. He is the founder of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, one of the leading European centers. 	Logisim CPU Tutorial - Folge 1: ALU  +++LESEN+++ In der neuen Tutorialserie bringe ich euch bei wie ihr eine leistungstarke 16 Bit VLIW (Very Large Instruction Word) RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) CPU (Central Prozessing Unit) baut. Zuerste brauchen wir eine ALU (Arithmetik Logic Unit), die wir in diesem Video bauen. Die CRY (Carry engl. = Übertrag) Register werden benötigt, wenn man zB zwei 16 Bit Zahlen verarbeiten möchte: Zuerst werden die unteren 8 Bit verarbeitet und dabei das CRY FLAG gesetzt, ist ein Übertrag vorhanden so enthält das Register nun diesen Übertrag. Bei der verarbeitung der oberen 8 Bit wird nun dieser CRY (wenn vorhanden) eingelesen und beinflusst so das Ergebnis, damit die Berrechnung richtig ist. zB untere 8 Bit: 128 + 129 = 1 & CRY FLAG = HIGH; obere 8 Bit: 0 + 0 + CRY = 1 (In dieser CPU verwendet man den CARRY Flag nur bei der berrechnung von zahen, die mehr als 16 Bit haben, ich hab in dem Bsp. eine 16 Bit berrechnung dargestellt, da es sonst zu kompliziert wäre, weil die Zahlen zu groß sind: 2^32 Zahlen bei 32 Bit) Ich hoffe ihr könnt alles vertehen ansonsten schreibt bitte einen Kommentar oder eine PN!
