	Matilda Robot Doing Proposed ASTM Endurance Test  There are several proposed methods for testing the endurance of response robots. One of those methods is a figure eight course made up of pitch and roll surfaces. In June 2007 a Matilda robot set the first endurance record of 197 laps in slightly over 2 hours. The test is grueling on both robot and operator and many robots lost various parts and some failed completely but Matilda made a very respectable showing which, I am sure, will bother some of the manufacturers of some of the more popular robots being used in Iraq.
