Bach's Cello Suite No. 6 - Gavotte and Gigue (Rostropovich)Bach's Cello Suite No. 6 - Gavotte and Gigue (Rostropovich)
Mstislav Rostropovich plays the Gavotte and Gigue from Bach's Cello Suite No. 6 in D major, BWV 1012. Filmed at the Basilique Sainte Madeleine, Vézelay, Yvonne, France in 1991. On YouTube you can compare Rostropovich's romantic, older-style interpretation of Bach to the more classical original-instrument approach by Mischa Maisky. 1. Prélude 2. Allemande 3. Courante 4. Sarabande 5. Gavotte I - Gavotte II - Gavotte I 6. Gigue according to Wikipedia: t is widely believed that the sixth suite was composed specifically for a five-stringed violoncello piccolo, a smaller cello, roughly the size of a 7/8 normal cello that has a fifth upper string tuned to E, a perfect fifth above the otherwise top string. However, some say there is not substantial evidence to support this claim: whilst three of the sources inform the player that it is written for an instrument "a cinq cordes", only Anna Magdalena Bach's manuscript indicates the tunings of the strings and the other sources do not mention any intended instrument at all. Other possible instruments for the suite include a version of the violoncello piccolo played on the arm like a viola, as well as a five-stringed normal sized cello, called a viola pomposa. As the range required in this piece is very large, the suite was probably intended for a larger instrument, although it is conceivable that Bach—who was fond of the viola—may have performed the work himself on an arm-held violoncello piccolo. However, it is equally likely that ...

My Little Pony in Thinking With Portals: No6. Home AloneMy Little Pony in Thinking With Portals: No6. Home Alone
Deviantart Link: yudhaikeledai.deviantart.com Cave Johnson: I actually find it quite intriguing that Ponies do use their portal gun for actual travel instead of the usual pranks or shenanigans! Oh, and note to viewers, we Aperture Science are the one inducing that thunderstorm; just another test that give rise to intriguing results! --------------------------------------------------------- Pssst... Hello guys? AJ was actually there! A split second during the blur scene :) One thing... Gave.It.My.Best... This is actually the first in which I threw almost everything that I know into the animation; all I want is just perfection... But it seems that I fall short of it. Again... This is also to test whether I'm comfortable if I am to be thrown off my comfort zone of humour and try a more serious type; in preparation of a future series that I'm planning. You guys give me the score. Speaking of which, Feedback and/or critique is most welcome. And please don't hold back, if you think I deserve some scolding and constructive criticism, go hard on me. Can't believe I've got to 6; which is the penultimate installment in the TWP series. After this, I'll have to work on something else (can't tell you) before resuming on the final episode which will center on Twilight's revenge and some Rarity action. Music: Heading to War www.youtube.com , Across the Alps www.youtube.com from Eidos' Praetorians and Bombs for Throwing at You! www.youtube.com from Portal 2 My Little Pony: Friendship is ...
